2 Days | 6 Hrs | Ceramics Workshop with School of Clay
First time at Salsawala Studios!
Day 1 – 9th May, Sat 5-8pm
Introduction & Basic Hand-Building Techniques
• Introduction to ceramics (clay types, basics, process overview)
• Demonstration of Pinching Technique
• Demonstration of Coiling Technique
• Hands-on session:
– Creating small bowls using pinching
– Building forms using coiling
• Exploring textures and simple surface design
• Introduction to basic finishing
Day 2 – 10th May, Sun 5-8pm
Advanced Hand-Building & Refinement
• Introduction to Slab Technique
• Demonstration: slab construction methods
• Hands-on session:
– Creating functional pieces (plates, trays, or structured forms)
• Refining and detailing pieces from Day 1
• Surface finishing and corrections
• Final touch-ups
Outcome:
Participants will create multiple handmade ceramic pieces and gain
a strong foundation in hand-building techniques.
Workshop fee: 2199/- (includes firing)
Workshop OTS fee: 2699/- (includes firing)
Glazing (optional): 150/- (to be paid on spot)

- The shoe rule: No outside shoes allowed, you’ll need to carry a clean pair of shoes. Please note dirty shoes will NOT BE ALLOWED in the studio.
- Bring your own bottle for water,
- Please wear a mask if you feel necessary (we don't take any responsibility for the same),
- Please carry proof of registration on your phone
- Please arrive keeping in mind TRAFFIC. So leave early incase you think u might get stranded.
